A Culinary 'Date' With Chef Dean

Getting to know more about Chef Dean in person through an enticing 5 course culinary journey at The Tempayan

After nine years of dedicated work for Tanah Gajah, Executive Chef Dean has developed a loyal following,  from guests who are very fond of his dishes as well as his friendly and humble personality. 

It has been one year since the property launched the Omakase dining experience at its main dining venue, The Tempayan, and food enthusiasts are enjoying a dining concept where they can have a dinner ‘date’ with Chef Dean.  Through this five-course culinary journey, they get to know him and his culinary skills personally, while also enjoying the beautifully-adorned dining room at The Tempayan.

The Omakase culinary experience begins with a refreshing welcome drink served as you make your way to a guided tour of the organic garden, which has been a personal project of Chef Dean. He will explain how he has turned parts of the rice paddy fields into a beautiful organic garden and where he sources his herbs and vegetables from.

Once seated in the warmly-lit dining room, Chef will showcase world-class cuisine with premium ingredients, sourced from our organic garden and independent farms around Indonesia. The entire journey is highly interactive as he shares insightful knowledge and guides guests through every dish.

Chef Dean uses only the freshest, seasonal local produce. It is also a part of Tanah Gajah’s sustainability initiatives.
