After 9 years of dedicated work for Tanah Gajah, Executive chef Dean has developed loyal guests who are very fond of his dishes as well as his friendly and humble personality. It has been around 1 year after the property launched the Omakase dining experience at its main dining venue The Tempayan, and food enthusiasts are enjoying a dining concept where they could have a dinner ‘date’ with Chef Dean and get to know him as well as his culinary skills personally through a five-course culinary journey, surrounded by the beautifully adorned dining room at The Tempayan.
 

Omakase culinary journey begins with a refreshing welcome drink served as you make your way for guided tour to the organic garden which has been a personal project of Chef Dean. He will explain about how he turned parts of rice paddy fields into a beautiful organic garden where he sourced his herbs and vegetables from.
 

Once seated at the warmly-lit dining room, Chef will showcase world-class cuisine with premium ingredients locally sourced from our organic garden and independent farms around Indonesia. The entire journey is highly interactive where he shares insightful knowledge and guides guests through every dish.
 

Omakase at the Tempayan aims not only to indulge guests with the enticing five-course surprise menu, but the experience also provides inspiring knowledge that allows guests to appreciate the beauty and quality of Indonesian raw produce and ingredients as Chef Dean only uses the freshest local produce which are currently in season. It is also a part of Tanah Gajah milestone to Sustainability.
